Description: Classroom management is critical to effective teaching and learning in both traditional and online classroom environments. It requires careful preparation and orchestration to maximize student learning. This course will explore key management components of planning, organizing, anticipating, and monitoring in both a traditional and virtual classroom setting. By the end of this training, participants will analyze and reflect upon the process for creating or modifying their own personal plan for classroom management.
Course Learning Outcomes:
· Identify and apply key strategies from the management components of planning and organizing in both a traditional and online classroom environment.
· Recognize anticipatory strategies for classroom management as well as identify and apply effective monitoring strategies for application in both a traditional and online classroom environment.
· Anticipate potential problems and solutions for management in small group instruction and explore the importance of training students for roles, responsibilities, interaction, and group processing for both a traditional and online classroom environment.
