Full course description
This 8-week program is designed to equip students with little to no experience to become a logging equipment operator with safety certifications, as well as Professional Logging Manager (PLM) status.
This program will consist of classroom instruction in forestry concepts, logging safety, and basic business concepts specific to logging. Field sessions will reinforce classroom training and provide actual equipment operation.
Logging equipment operators operate heavy machines, like skidders, feller-bunchers, loaders, dozers and graders. An operator must be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding job that requires attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
Class will meet Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 1:30pm

Requirements:
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Must be able to pass a DOT drug test
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have steel toe boots
- Must be able to provide own transportation
- Previous experience with equipment operation (farm tractors, dozers, etc.) is desirable, but not required
- $100 nonrefundable registration fee
